The “Food for Thought” Exhibition and Luncheon
Was held in Long Preston Village Hall on Saturday 11th February 2012
The exhibition featured a look at food in Long Preston through the ages, together with displays of old recipes and kitchen heirlooms. The event was busy throughout the day with many enjoying the home made soup and cakes etc.
Unveiling of Stained Glass Window in the Village Hall
was held on Saturday 28th April 2012 in Long Preston Village Hall

The 2012 Annual General Meeting of the Long Preston Heritage Group
Was held on Wednesday 17th October 2012 in Long Preston Village Hall.
After the AGM, there was a talk by Gillian Walters, Project Officer at the W.R. Mitchel Archive.
She told members about her work on digitising some of Bill’s taped interviews with Dales residents.
The latest publication “A History of Medicine in Long Preston” was also launched at this event.
